The Next Big Thing

The capstone of our Master Plan for the Durango Botanic Gardens at the Durango Public Library is the design and building of the Community Venue Garden, a public garden featuring groundcovers, native plants, and bulbs while also providing a beautiful new space for community and private events. Designed by Durango’s DHM Design, the area envisions a stage and plenty of space for lounging, reading, hanging out. We intend to begin work on this new garden in 2024 and are anticipating completion and dedication in 2025. 

Some elements of the design shown here will almost certainly be revised as we move forward but the completed garden will reflect this vision.

Our Location:

The Durango Botanic Gardens are physically located at the Durango Public Library, to the north and east of the library.  The library is located at 1900 E. 3rd Ave., Durango.

There is no admission charge.  Stroll the gardens yourself (there is ample signage in most gardens) or call us at 970-880-4841 to arrange a group tour. See our About Us for more.
