Registration

  • A private lunch and wine featuring a garden round table discussion with Scott. Seating is limited and reservations and registration is required. Don't miss the opportunity for a one on one with Scott.
  • Scott will be sharing his entertaining take on the Western Plant Revolution, Global Plant Explorers and his reintroduction of lost and forgotten plants.
    Guest Registration is available. If you register a guest you will receive $20.00 in Botanical Dollar$ that you can spend on silent auction items.

  • That's right this is a free event. "Rare Beauties: Durango's Bulb Beauty Pageant" Presentation by Mike Smedley 9:30AM
    Many varieties including rare and deer proof bulbs will be for sale at the Fairgrounds from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The Bulb sale continues at the Stampede location from 11:00AM to 1:30PM
  • Jeff Wagner has put together a rare and hard to find plant selection of trees,shrubs,and plants that will knock your socks off. Over 1000 rare plants will be on the course ready for you to make a mad dash for the ones you want. So dust off those tennis shoes , you will go home with lots of plants. Look at the guidelines and Description for more information. Must register. Ball Field Pavilion at the Fairgrounds 11:30AM
  • Join DBS horitcultural experts,nationally renowned photographer Kit Frost and other photo enthusiasts for an afternoon in the wilderness, discovering the best ways to capture our local natural beauty. Box Lunch is provided Must register.
  • This special registration is for those hard working men and women in the landscaping industry.

Scott will be sharing his entertaining take on the Western Plant Revolution, Global Plant Explorers and his reintroduction of lost and forgotten plants. Held at the Recreation Center  $35.00 
Door Prize, Silent Auction, Food and Cash Bar 
Register a guest and you will receive $20.00 in Botanical Dollar$ that you can spend at our Silent Auction.

in his unique and humorous way, will be giving a talk on "Rare Beauties: Durango's Bulb Beauty Pageant". FREE!

BULB SALE: 9:00 AM TO 1:30 PM
Many varieties including rare and deer-proof bulbs will be available at the Fairgrounds for purchase  from 9:00 to 11:00 at the 
Fairgrounds and at the Stampede (see details below) from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM.

Get ready for our first Plant Stampede:

  •        Read the guidelines 
  •        Print the plant list                                   
  •        Decide on the plants  you want        
  •        Dust off your tennis shoes 
  •      Bring your plant list and                        
  •       Meet us at the fairgrounds!

Over 1,000 rare plants will be available and lined up ready for you on our Plant Stampede course. As long as you're willing to make a mad dash to your favorite ones, expect to take home lots of horticultural delights.

Everyone has an equal chance to dash after the plants that they want. 

Near the Ball Field Pavilion at the Fairgrounds  $75.00

Photo Workshop and
Nature Walk

with nationally renowned  photographer Kit Frost

Join DBS horticultural experts, nationally renowned photographer Kit Frost and other photo enthusiasts for an afternoon in the wilderness, discovering the best ways to capture our local natural beauty. Because of weather the location TBD (close to town)and will be announced a few days before the event. We will contact those that register with that location. Lunch and Workshop $150.00

Our Location:

The Durango Botanic Gardens are physically located at the Durango Public Library, to the north and east of the library.  The library is located at 1900 E. 3rd Ave., Durango.

There is no admission charge.  Stroll the gardens yourself (there is ample signage in most gardens) or call us at 970-880-4841 to arrange a group tour. See the About Us Tab for more.
