Bulbs are perhaps the most under-utilized, misunderstood plant variety in our gardens.  A shame because they offer striking colors, textures, and stunning bursts of spring color.  Let Mike Smedley take you on a journey to bulb selection and growing success!


Welcome to our annual Bulb Sale!
The Bulb Sale store is open from August 1 - 14, 2025


Scroll down to see our bulb sale offerings for 2025.  Enjoy as you cruise around and pick from a variety of gorgeous bulbs shipped direct from Holland.  Mid-late October is the ideal planting time in Durango, and planting instructions will be included.

To order, click on a bulb of choice and select your quantity.  Orders contain 1-10 bulbs per package, the exact quantity noted in each bulb’s description. To check out, click on the cart and enter your credit card information.  You will receive an email confirming your order.

Bulbs are shipped from Holland and packaged for our customers. 
Mark your calendars now for bulb pickup at the following locations:

  • October 17 Florida Grange 4:00-5:30pm
  • October 18 Durango Farmer’s Market 9:00am-12:00pm
  • October 19 Durango Public Library 10:00am-12:00pm
  • October 25 Durango Farmer’s Market 9:00am-12:00pm

In case of unavailability of a particular bulb after the sale starts, DBG may find it necessary to substitute a different bulb that is as similar as possible.

Our Location:

The Durango Botanic Gardens are physically located at the Durango Public Library, to the north and east of the library.  The library is located at 1900 E. 3rd Ave., Durango.

There is no admission charge.  Stroll the gardens yourself (there is ample signage in most gardens) or call us at 970-880-4841 to arrange a group tour. See our About Us for more.
